Elephant Man has been taken into custody and is being questioned by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse
Officials from CISOCA said the artist, whose real name is Oniel Bryan, was being questioned in relation to a number of sexually-based allegations.
The deejay was issued bail in the sum of JA$400,000 this morning alongside his attorney, Linda Wright. Reportedly, the celebrity appeared in high spirits, despite accusations.
Elephant Man stands accused of rape and grievous sexual assault following an alleged incident that took place last week at his residence. The alleged victim, who is of Chinese descent, filed a report & detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) took Elephant Man into custody on Monday and later issued the charges, followed by interrogation.
Elephant Man’s next scheduled court date has been set for May 21, where he will appear at a preliminary hearing. Also, “Energy God” has a court date scheduled for February 7, where his trial regarding a charge of stealing electricity will continue.
