LA Lewis Trial Date Set

A trial date has been set in the matter involving dancehall personality L.A. Lewis, who is accused of defacing public property.

Lewis, whose birth name is Horace Lewis, appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey yesterday. He will return to court on November 28.


The allegation is that Lewis was fined $70,000 by the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) for defacing public spaces in seven spaces in the Corporate Area.


He was brought before the court after he failed to pay the fine.


Lewis, who has pleaded not guilty, told the court that he is willing to work with the NSWMA to clean up the graffiti done by his fans.
