Sean Paul to marry Jamaican media personality later this month
It’s official! Internationally acclaimed Dancehall superstar, Sean Paul will finally tie the knot to his girlfriend and prominent Jamaican media personality, Jodi ‘Jinx’ Stewart.
According to a report in Friday’s edition of the Jamaica Gleaner, the Grammy-winning artiste will marry the long time Reggae Entertainment Television (RETV) host in a private ceremony later this month. According to the Gleaner, preparations for the wedding are being kept on such a low key basis to the point that NBC’s Today showwas warnedshow not to air details of the planned nuptials.
Keeping with that theme, those invited to the wedding don’t even know the exact location of the wedding and a shuttle will be used to carry persons to and from the unnamed venue.
Rumors of a marriage between Sean Paul and Stewart were ignited at the start of 2012 when reports emerged that the Never Gonna Be The Same singer proposed to his girlfriend during last holiday season.
Jodi ‘Jinx’ Stewart has been a fixture within the Jamaican media industry since the beginning of the 2000s, becoming one of the first RETV VJs and hosted the behind the scenes program, VIP Backstage, which allowed fans access to parties and celebrities who attended them. She’s also hosted on an international level; holding such responsibilities on BETJ’s video countdown show as well as The Roof, becoming the only English speaking VJ to appear on the show which aired on Latin American television network, Telemundo.
With appearances in overseas publications such as Maxim and Air Jamaica’s in-flight magazine, Island Magazine, Jinx now hails as the regular host on RE-TV’s E-Weekly, which airs hourly.
Sean Paul has been involved with Stewart since he burst onto the international mainstream stage in 2002 with his Grammy Winning album, Dutty Rock which provided several smash hits such as Gimme The Light, Like Glue and the aforementioned Get Busy. Since then, Sean Paul has released four more compilations, including the chart-topping Tomahawk Technique earlier this year and has even ventured into the producing world as his Dutty Rock Music label created the Blaze Fia Riddim last year.
