Konshens Shuts Down Connecticut
International rising superstar Konshens, has created history.
On Friday May 4, 2012 Konshens geared up to perform in Hartford, Connecticut's West Indian Social Club. He started out early Friday morning arriving at Hot93.7 with the Hot Morning Crew, DJ Buck, Nancy Barrow and Diva Nikki Z. While on air Konshens informed his fans that he was in town and ready to turn up the heat at "Spring Fever".
Konshens arrived at West Indian Social Club at around 2:00 am and the venue was filled to capacity with 2000 plus people inside and another few hundreds outside. Inside Platinum Kids from NY and Hot97 Jabba of Massive B were entertaining the crowd while playing the latest dancehall tunes. As the the MC for the night and one of the promoters for the event called "Spring Fever", Diva Nikki Z realized it was time to get this show started. As she gestured to Konshens "showtime", Konshens began making his way to the stage and so did Connecticut Fire Marshal. The Dancehall sensation would approach the stage and say "How Da Party Ya Look So" and that was it, Fire Marshall said this place is over the capacity we must shut it down immediately.
Unhappy that he was unable to perform for his fans, Konshens reassures his fans that he will be back to Connecticut real soon "Connecticut fans, you are the greatest, you showed me enormous amount of love and I will be back. To all my female fans, I didn't get to sing Gyal a Bubble but I promise I will be back to sing that for you all soon".
After the show Nikki Z stated "I want to thank my promotional team, RisingStarTV.com, Creepa Productions, DJ Scarface, Leximillion (My Artist) and Marvin for all the hard work and energy they put into the promotion. I would like to apologize to the patrons who never got to see this great artist truly perform,DNZ Productions hopes to bring Konshens back for a one on one that his fans will never forget! I would like to thank Konshens for his professionalism in handling the pre-mature ending. For the first time in years ONE artist Shut Down CT, Konshens Alone".
Konshens is back in Jamaica and gearing up to head to New York to perform at his first college show at the Borough of Manhattan Community College on May 11th, where he performs alongside Destra Garcia.
